About Us
An operating company built around stored energy
Bryan Mound Strategic Petroleum Reserve is a Gulf Coast tank storage and terminalling operator. We hold, protect and move bulk liquid hydrocarbons — and we are judged on whether that capacity is there when it is needed.
Our business is deliberately narrow and deep. We do not attempt to be everything in the energy value chain. We store liquids safely, we measure them accurately, we document what we did, and we hand them on in the condition our customers expect.
That focus shapes how we hire, how we train, how we maintain assets and how we report. It is also why our customers tend to stay with us for the long term.
- Terminal operations at Freeport, Texas
- Above-ground tankage and salt cavern storage
- Multimodal inbound and outbound connectivity
- Process-safety-led operating culture

Who we are
Specialists, not generalists
Our people are terminal operators, instrumentation and electrical technicians, mechanical crafts, integrity engineers, HSE professionals and commercial specialists. Most have spent their careers in bulk liquid terminals and petrochemical facilities on the Gulf Coast.
That depth matters in a business where the failure modes are well understood but the consequences are severe. Competence is not a slogan here — it is a competence matrix, a training record and an authorisation to work.
- Defined competence and authorisation framework
- Continuous training and re-assessment
- Contractor management to the same standard

How we are organised
Clear ownership of every safety, environmental and operational obligation.
Responsible for receipt, storage, blending, redelivery and daily terminal integrity. Operations owns the permit-to-work system and the shift handover record.
Owns asset integrity, inspection programmes, mechanical and I&E maintenance, and the capital plan that keeps infrastructure current.
Independent of line operations. Owns risk assessment, incident investigation, environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting and audit.
Owns storage agreements, capacity allocation, scheduling, nominations and customer inventory reporting.
